Now I think we can all agree there is no better way to start a Sunday morning than heading out with your girls for brunch. If you're anything like me you go to the same spot ALL the time, I thought I'd be crazy and venture out this weekend to see what else Brisbane has to offer. And I want you to come along too, so here’s my list of Brissy’s top #girlsquad breakfast spots.
Pawpaw Café, Woolloongabba
The Venzin Group really can do no wrong and Pawpaw Café is no exception. Pawpaw’s ever changing menu always has something to satisfy everyone and they do an excellent job of catering for dietary requirements, cause we all have that one friend right?! The Poached Pear Waffles with maple bacon jam, caramelised chocolate and white chocolate ice cream is seriously calling my name! With gorgeous décor, fresh blooms and delicious coffee, you and girl gang will not be disappointed by this Woolloongabba gem!
Corner Store Café, Toowong
For all you west-side girls, look no further than Toowong’s Corner Store Café. The weekend line up is testament to the delicious goodies this café dishes up. I don’t think there is a café in Brisbane that doesn’t do Smashed Avo but you really haven’t lived until you sample The Corner Store’s version! Trust me the wait for a table will be well and truly worth it!
Morning After, West End
The name says it all, get your girls together for a debrief of the night before at this West End favourite. With an all day, everyday breakfast, it doesn’t matter what time you get together, you can always get your hands on the Eggs Benny with smoked salmon, spinach and hollandaise. I'm drooling already!
Seven South, Yeronga
One of Brisbane’s newest cafes has well and truly made its mark on the Brisbane foodie scene and if you haven’t already, you and your #girlsquad need to pay it a visit stat. If you’re umming and ahhing over the menu, order the Lemon Thyme Blueberry and Ricotta Hotcake; not only is this the most insta-worthy breaky I have ever seen, it tastes delicious too!
Kiss the Berry, Southbank
Why not walk the paths of Southbank with your besties before treating yourself to an Acai Bowl from the Brisbane specialists, Kiss the Berry. Grab a picnic rug from KTB’s collection and sprawl out in the Southbank Parklands as you enjoy something from their regular or seasonal menu. The Salted Caramel & Fig Bowl is not to be missed, so beware because it’s almost the end of Autumn!
So there you have it, that's where I'll be this weekend! Did your fave #girlsquad breaky spot make our list? Let us know if there’s any hidden Brissy gems we’ve missed!
